BEFORE departing for India, I had friends and family passing on travel tips, advice and personal experiences. Some of it good, and some of it worrying. As this was my first trip overseas, I needed to take it all in. But with any challenge in life, I like to have an open heart, clear head and positive attitude. This was not just a holiday abroad, this was a job and nobody could prepare me to become a cricket-loving, cheerleading, IPL girl but me!
Already three weeks have passed and in that time I cannot believe how a group of normal girls can become instant celebrities! Each team of ten girls has a manager and we all receive strict instructions from them about safety, behaviour and reputation, as it seems girls from previous years did not heed the rule book!
For example, if people ask why we are in their country, we have to say that we are friends on holiday. The majority of Indians are cricket crazy, glued to their televisions, reading the papers, supporting their teams. So as the tournament kicked off, it became pretty obvious we were not telling the truth!
On our days off, we are free to explore and take in what India has to offer but its not always easy. You can just imagine, a group of fit, easy on the eye, western ladies cruising the congested busy streets.
To the citizens, we are practically like walking porn! All eyes are on you all the time; it is complete voyeurism. The women double take, see you and then pretend you do not exist. The men see your face, then your boobs, your butt, and then your boobs again! As we walk, all you hear is “IPL, IPL!” with a little head jingle!
Usually only after day matches there is an exclusive after party and at night is when it all happens. The music pumps, the drinks flow and the cricketers come and go. We mingle and associate with important people of the IPL wearing their finest and sexiest, sponsors of all sorts, media and fashion shows, even Indian MTV! But the real fun
happens in the VIP rooms where the players and night owls can cause scandal! The few Indian players we have met, such as MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma have been very polite and keep to themselves in the dark corners. Hotshots like Tendulkar with families at home are never present. The likes of Jonty Rhodes and Albie Morkel are notorious for having a good time with friends!
‘Ol Graeme Smith will flirt with anything while his girlfriend lurks behind him. The Aussies are fun but naughty, such as Aiden Blizzard and Dan Christian. By the end of a crazy evening, a certain someone had played kissing catchers with three girls known to me only, although he has his own girlfriend back home. He cooed to each girl, “Come home with me, I just want to cuddle!’
Oh, please! I have come to realise that cricketers are the most loose and mischievious sportsmen I have come across. Makes me wonder if I should worry about them more then the commoners on the street! I still have a long while here, so I shall keep my tip list in mind.

CONSTITUENCY-WISE TAMIL NADU ASSEMBLY ELECTION 2011|TAMILNADU STATE ASSEMBLY ELECTION SCHEDULE|EXIT POLL RESULTS OF TAMIL NADU ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS 2011
Opinion poll survey carried out by India Today-Headlines, Today-Mail Today-ORG results predicts a win for AIADMK in the upcoming assembly elections.
Jayalalithaa has 37% approval rating as next CM is 3% more favoured over present CM M. Karunanidhi.
Opinion poll survey predicts that the ADMK alliance could get 164 seats, while Congress and DMK will suffer a huge setback winning just 68 seats with Others getting 2 seats. (Source India Today)
The OUTLOOK-MDRA opinion poll for the forthcoming assembly elections in the state of Tamilnadu suggest that AIADMK headed by Jaylalitha will be back in power according to 54% of the people.
In this assembly elections, AIADMK has formed an alliance with the DMDK (a party led by a popular former film star Vijaykanth). In the previous state election, DMDK was not part of any alliance and had won a single seat. However, it had garnered a vote share of ~8%, which is quite significant. Therefore, the DMDK-AIADMK alliance could meaningfully hurt DMK’s prospects. Another strong factor in support is, since 1984, DMK and AIADMK have led the government alternately.
Alleged involvement of former telecom minister A. Raja (member of DMK party) in the 2G scam has affected the party’s image and public opinion. Corruption being the main factor of concern together with high Inflation that may hurt the Congress DMK alliance perfromance. (Source: Outlook India)

TAMIL NADU ELECTION 2011: DMK MOST CORRUPT GOVERNMENT, SAYS JAYALALITHA|THE WAR IS ON|DMK OR ADMK??|13 TH TAMILNADU ELECTION RESULTS
Hitting out at the M. Karunanidhi-led Dravida Munnettra Kazhagam (DMK) government, AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa on Wednesday described the DMK as the most corrupt government the state has witnessed.
Speaking to reporters after casting her vote, Jayalalithaa said the people of Tamil Nadu want a government, which is clear off all the corruption the DMK has brought in.
"People are disgusted with corruption, price rise, nepotism and total misrule. They want a change. AIADMK wants to put an end to all this. There has been corruption everywhere, but the magnitude and scale of the DMK government is unprecedented. The 2G scam is not the only scam that has the DMK in trouble. There are several other scams where the whole Karunanidhi family are involved," she added.
Expressing confidence that her party will come into power, she said: "We will see a landslide victory and sweeping victory for us. We are confident that we will get a clear majority to rule this state."
Meanwhile, polling is underway in 234 assembly constituencies. A total of 2,748 candidates, including 141 women, are in the fray to elect the 14th Tamil Nadu assembly.
The electorate would be deciding whether incumbent Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi would be given the chance to become the state head for a record sixth time and also enter the precincts of the assembly as its member for a record 12th time.
The others whose fate would be decided today include Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin (Kolathur constituency), actor-turned-politician and founder of DMDK A. Vijayakant (Rishivandiyam), PMK president G.K. Mani (Mettur), actor-turned-politician and founder of SMK R. Sarathkumar (Tenkasi), and Tamil Nadu Congress chief K.V. Thangkabalu (Mylapore).
Elaborate security arrangements have been made to ensure free and fair polls.
Beside state police, 240 companies of central paramilitary forces are being deployed across the state for the polls.
All sensitive polling booths have been placed under live camera surveillance since electronic voting machines are being placed on Tuesday.

OPINION POLL TAMIL NADU ASSEMBLY ELECTION 2011
Southern State of Tamil Nadu is going for poll on 13th April and results of this election will be declared on 13th May, 2011. Meanwhile many opinion polls by many news papers and independent members are available in front of us. Most of these opinion polls are pointing towards same results that AIADMK alliance will get victory in coming assembly election. I also collected data of around 50000 online votes and out of which 33500 voted in favor of AIADMK alliance.
If I add all this data then results come in this way that AIADMK alliance is going to win above 60% seats in coming election which means 140 plus seats. However, everyone is giving importance to one fact that there will be very less difference in vote share of both parties which means that losing margin of candidates will be very small. Tamil Nadu politics is full of small parties and free gifts to public.
Both AIABMK alliance and DMK alliance are equally popular and strong and election will win be determined by small difference of votes. It is wrong to predict any thing related to Tamil Nadu till end because no clear picture is coming out so far. Opinion polls can vary greatly and online polls are mostly wrong. Though, we can say that there is slight edge for AIADMK alliance and it can win this election if all factors and new alliances work in its favour.
Available Opinion poll predictions are
AIADMK Alliance 140 plus seats
DMK Alliance 60 plus seats
Others 20 plus seats

TN TAMILNADU ELECTION ASSEMBLY RESULTS 13 MAY 2011 ANNOUNCED DECLARED|WHO WILL WIN TAMIL NADU ASSEMBLY ELECTION 2011?
Election commission of India has announced dates of forthcoming assembly election in Tamilnadu. Assembly Election will take place in Tamil Nadu on 13th April and results of this election will be declared on 13th May. This election result will tell that DMK (The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam) and its alliance partners will stay in power in Tamil Nadu or All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and its alliance partners will steal power.
In 2006 Tamilnadu Assembly election, DMK alliance got major success by winning 163 seats out of 234 seats with gain of 94 seats over 2001 assembly election. The main partners of DMK alliance were DMK, Congress, PMK, CPI (M), CPI and Muslim League. On the other hand, AIADMK alliance got only 69 seats with loss of 63 seats. The main partners of AIADMK alliance were AIADMK, MDMK, VCK, JD(S), FB(S).
Tamil Nadu politics is totally dominated by regional and small political parties with some base of Congress and BJP. Main leading political parties of Tamil Nadu are DMK and AIADMK and this time also, we can see new chief minister from one of these parties only. To the main question that who will win Tamil Nadu assembly Election then one thing is clear that DMK alliance is going to loss some seats because of large numbers of corruption charges against it while AIADMK alliance is going to gain seats.
For making government in Tamilnadu, any political party or alliance needs to win 117 or more seats. In 2009 Loksabha Election too DMK alliance has shown good performance by winning 67% Loksabha seats; though, this time it is not going to be easy for DMK alliance to repeat similar performance because of big corruption scandals and increasing prices of common items.
At present political fight is very fierce in Tamil Nadu with some edge for AIADMK alliance if we give importance to past political history of state; however, presence of so many political parties and factors make it hard to present a good picture. For exact results, we are required to wait till 13th May, 2011 when final counting will take place.

TAMIL NADU ASSEMBLY CONSTITUENCIES FOR 2011 POLLS
Tamil Nadu marks the southernmost boundary of India and is spread across 511 sq kms. It's India's 11th largest state and seventh largest in terms of population.
Tamil Nadu has already seen 13 assembly elections and the state politics has always revolved around few prominent personalities. Congress was a powerful force in the state till the mid 1960s. But anti-Hindu protests and mass agitations soon made DMK the popular choice and in 1967 DMK's Annadurai became the Chief Minister. After Annadurai's death in 1969, M Karunanidhi became the C M. 1972 saw one of the biggest political forces to emerge from Tamil Nadu, M G Ramachandran. M G broke from DMK and floated his own party ADMK, which was later renamed as AIADMK. MG was the CM of the state from 1977 to 1987, the year he died. J Jayalalithaa was later elected as General Secretary of AIADMK. Since then, it has been a clear war between DMK and AIADMK, or Karunanidhi and Jayalalithaa, with voters choosing either of the two in subsequent elections.
Over the past decade, some smaller parties have found favour with the voters. Vijayakanth's DMDK, Vaiko's MDMK and Ramdoss's PMK along with Congress, all have the capability to become the king makers, in case a clear majority is not achieved by DMK and AIADMK.

JOB SEARCH
Many people discover there can be a noticeable difference between finding a job and launching a career. The challenge is to know when to accept a job for survival and when to hold out for a skilled position based on inherent skills and training.
This is where employment agencies come into play. Employment agencies serve as intermediaries between workers and employers, with the stated goal of matching the companies´ needs with the workers´ skills and interests. Employment agencies may be privately owned or sponsored by state or federal labor departments.
Public employment agencies also act as clearinghouses for local factory applicants. Major companies often provide application forms in preparation for new rounds of hiring or other expansions of their workforce. Employment agencies, especially those sponsored by state governments, have enough personnel to process thousands of applications, unlike the companies´ own human resource departments. Unemployed workers are strongly encouraged to visit employment agencies in order to fill out numerous applications.
Employment agencies also maintain a database of skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers available for hire. Whenever a potential employer posts a specific job vacancy with the agency, all of the registered applicants with matching skills may receive a phone call or mail-in card notifying them of this opening. Staff members of employment agencies may conduct a mini-interview or give interested applicants more details about the position. Sometimes the only message will be an address and contact information, and it is up to the applicant to make arrangements for a job interview directly with the potential employer.

BACHELOR'S DEGREES
What is a Bachelor's Degree?
Also known as Baccalaureate degrees, bachelors' degrees are four-year degrees awarded by colleges or universities. This undergraduate degree allows students to select both an area of study (referred to as a 'major') and an area of concentration (referred to as a 'minor.') Traditionally, bachelor degrees must be completed before embarking on a master's or doctoral degree.
This undergraduate degree allows students to select both an area of study
Traditionally, students enter a bachelor's program either directly from high school or by transferring credits from previous coursework (for example, an associate degree). As the workforce becomes more educated, many industry professionals with work experience are also returning to school to begin or complete a degree.
Why take a bachelor's degree?
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reports that 96% of the 50 highest paying occupations require college degrees and salaries for bachelor's degree holders are projected to be 60 percent higher than for those with associate degrees.
Less than a decade ago, non-graduates still anticipated a fair chance at climbing the career ladder. Today, a college degree is almost a prerequisite for employment and certainly for promotion into management.
Increased technology in the workplace and rapidly changing demands forces companies to seek well-trained or seasoned staff. For many positions, a bachelor's degree has become the minimum expectation. A survey conducted by the Information Technology Association of America and Virginia Polytechnic and State University revealed that 83 percent of respondents required a four-year degree for all or most programming positions. Job growth for bachelor's degree holders is expected to exceed 21.9% by 2008.
Types of degrees
Bachelor's degree programs and program titles vary by educational institution. The two primary bachelor's degree qualification types are:
Bachelor of Arts (BA). This type of degree type usually requires a majority of coursework be taken in the arts; areas such as social science, humanities, music or fine arts.
Bachelor of Science (BS). This type of degree usually requires a majority of coursework be taken in the sciences; areas such as life sciences, physical sciences, or mathematical sciences
