The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has announced that it will put up 4,500 flats for the 2011 draw. The MHADA flats will be in Borivili, Sion, Malvani, Kandivili, Mankhurd, Ghatkopar and Goregaon.Maharashtra Housing Area Development Authority (MHADA) flats will be sold through an online lottery on May 31, 2011.
The Bombay high court, in an interim order had directed the MHADA authority to keep out 1% of the flats, which would be around 40 flats from the draw of lots.
These flats are situated at Sion, Malwani, Ghatkopar, Versova, Vikhroli and Magathane in Borivli, Mumbai.
These flats will not be considered in the lottery draw, till the government takes a decision on increasing the flats meant for the disabled from the existing 2% to 3%.
May 16th was the last date for filling up the application forms for the housing lottery

MHADA Flats 2011 Income Slabs
The MHADA flats for the 2011 draw will have new income slabs:
1. MHADA Flats 2011 for Economic Weaker Sections (EWS): up to Rs.12,000/-
(Previously it was up to Rs.8,000/-)
2. MHADA Flats 2011 for Low Income Group (LIG): Rs.12,000/- to Rs.20,000/-
(Previously it was Rs.8,000/- to Rs.12,000/-)
3. MHADA Flats 2011 for Middle Income Group (MIG): Rs.20,000/- to Rs.25,000/-
(Previously it was Rs.12,000/- to Rs.20,000/-)
4. MHADA Flats 2011 for High Income Group (HIG): above Rs.25,000/-
(Previously it was above Rs.20,000/-)
