Vikram is among the handful of Tamil heroes who commands a huge fan following in Telugu as well.
In the past few years, some of his films like Aparichitudu, Siva Putrudu had a great run at box-office in Andhra Pradesh. Most of his films in the past 10 years were either remade in Telugu or dubbed. Although, he recent films like Mallana, Raavana didn't do well, that hasn't stopped the makers of his upcoming Tamil film, Deiva Thirumagan to consider dubbing the film in Telugu. The first look of the film became the talk of the town, recently. Vikram plays a character named Krishna, who is a mentally challenged adult with the maturity of a five-year-old boy. Anushka plays a lawyer in the film and Amala Paul also plays an important role.
Recently, the Tamil audio was launched in Chennai. The music has been
composed by G V Prakash. He's currently recording the songs for the
Telugu version of the film. A L Vijay has directed the film after
Madarasapattinam, which was a huge hit in Tamil. More details about the
Telugu version of the film including its title and the date of release
is yet to be revealed.
